How can I reach the Romantik Hotel Castello Seeschloss?

The Romantik Hotel Castello Seeschloss is located right at the beginning of Ascona’s pedestrian zone and is easily accessible by car or public transport.

What is the hotel address?

How can I reach the hotel by public transport?

From Locarno railway station, take bus no. 1 to either Ascona Scuole or Ascona Centro bus stop. From both stops, our hotel is just a few minutes’ walk away.

How much does a taxi from Locarno railway station to the hotel cost?

A taxi ride from Locarno railway station to our hotel costs approximately CHF 25.– to 30.–.

Is parking available at the hotel?

Yes. Our private outdoor parking area is located on the hotel premises, behind the building, and costs CHF 5.– per night.

Does the hotel have a garage?

Yes. A parking space in our garage costs CHF 25.– per night. As the number of spaces is limited, we recommend reserving your space in advance.

Are charging stations for electric vehicles available?

Yes. Paid charging stations are available in our garage. The Porsche Destination Chargers can be used for both electric and hybrid vehicles.

The charging fee is:

CHF 30.– for electric vehicles
CHF 15.– for hybrid vehicles

How much is the tourist tax?

The mandatory tourist tax for adults aged 18 and over is CHF 4.50 per person per night and is charged separately.

What time is check-in and check-out?

Your room is available from 3:00 pm on the day of arrival. On the day of departure, check-out is until 12:00 noon.

Is late arrival possible?

Yes. The hotel entrance is closed at 11:00 pm. If you arrive after midnight, you can ring the bell at the entrance to contact the night porter. Alternatively, you can request an access code from us before your arrival.

Please let us know if you expect to arrive after 6:00 pm.

Are early check-in and late check-out possible?

Early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability. Please check with our Reception team on the day of arrival or departure.

What are the cancellation conditions?

Cancellations must be made in writing.

As a general rule, the following conditions apply:

Up to 7 days before arrival: free cancellation
7 to 0 days before arrival and in case of no-show: 100% of the total stay

We always make every effort to resell a room that has been cancelled at short notice. If we are unable to do so, we reserve the right to charge the applicable cancellation fees.

Special cancellation conditions apply to group bookings.

What time is breakfast served?

Our rich breakfast buffet is served daily from 7:30 am to 11:00 am.

Enjoy your breakfast in the Castello Hall or, weather permitting, on our sunny garden terrace with awning.

What are the opening hours of Ristorante al Lago?

Our Ristorante al Lago, located directly on the lake, offers:

Lunch: 12:00 noon–3:00 pm
Dinner: 6:30 pm–9:30 pm
Hot and cold snacks, coffee, cakes and homemade ice cream specialities: 12:00 noon–5:00 pm

The weather in Ticino has a character of its own. Depending on the weather conditions, we therefore often decide at short notice whether to serve our guests indoors or outdoors.

You can also order drinks and light meals at the swimming pool or in our lounge. Our Reception and service team will be happy to take your order.

Is free Wi-Fi available?

Yes. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel.

What is the Ticino Ticket?

With the Ticino Ticket, you can use public transport throughout the canton of Ticino free of charge during your stay. You can also benefit from discounts on boat trips, most mountain railways and various leisure activities.

The Ticino Ticket will be provided to you at Reception upon arrival.

Is the swimming pool open?

Our heated outdoor swimming pool is generally open from mid/late April until early/mid-October and is heated to approximately 24–26°C.

Pool towels are provided in your room.

Can I use the hotel bicycles?

Yes. Our hotel bicycles are available to guests free of charge.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to reserve bicycles in advance.

How can I guarantee my reservation?

To guarantee your reservation, we require your credit card details. Alternatively, you can make an advance payment no later than 7 days before arrival.

Which payment methods do you accept?

We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express. You can also settle your bill with Postcard, debit card or Twint.

Are pets allowed at the hotel?

Yes, your four-legged friend is very welcome at the Castello Seeschloss.

We charge CHF 18.– per night for dogs. Food is not included.

What are the prices for extra beds?

For a third person staying in the room, the following supplements apply per night:

Adults aged 18 and over: CHF 60.–
Children aged 12 and over: CHF 40.–
Children aged 6 to 11: CHF 20.–
Children up to and including 5 years: free of charge

Are allergy-friendly pillows available?

All our rooms are equipped with down pillows. Upon request, we can provide synthetic, cotton or wool pillows.

Does the hotel offer a laundry service?

Yes. We offer a 12/36-hour laundry service for your personal laundry.

The laundry list and laundry bag can be found in your room.

For express service, which is not available on Saturdays and Sundays, please hand your laundry to our Housekeeping or Reception team by 9:00 am.
